Required Signage* – All the required signs shown below are available by contacting the nearest Liquor Enforcement Office or by calling 360-664-1731, or via e-mail to met@liq.wa.gov.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) Signage

All retail liquor licensees or licensees with retail privileges are required to post warning signs provided by the Board which educate the public about the birth defect Fetal Alcohol Syndrome which may result from drinking during pregnancy. Licensees may want to refer to the WSLCB Licensee Handbook and/or WAC 314-12-195 for more information regarding placement and requirements.

Minor Posting Signs are required at the enterance to each tavern and/or cocktail lounge (WAC 314-16-025).

SALE OF TOBACCO

Tobacco Warning Signs are required on all cigarette vending machines and at each location tobacco products are sold (WAC 314-10-020).

Tobacco Sales to Underaged Prohibited

  • Also required to be posted is your valid, current Master Business License including your Liquor Licenses Classes and Cigarette Retailers License. A Vending Machine License is required on all cigarette vending machines.
  • Beer, Wine, and Spirits Restaurant licensees must post their own sign in the lounge that food service is available whenever liquor is sold and what the hours of full food service are (WAC 314-16-190).

A sticker indicating the date of legal purchase for alcohol and tobacco products is available to all licensed premises.
