Liquor Control Board suspends liquor license of Tacoma's Sprague Street Shell
January 5, 2009
OLYMPIA - The Washington State Liquor Control Board (WSLCB) has suspended the liquor license of the Sprague Street Shell for 30 days following the store's third public safety violation in two years.
The store, located at 1401 S. Sprague St. in Tacoma, is not allowed to sell alcohol from 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009.
The store received three violations for Sale/Furnishing Alcohol to Person(s) Under Age 21 during a two-year period, which is the timeframe used by the WSLCB when determining fines or temporary liquor license suspensions.
The store will be able to sell non-alcohol products during the suspension.
Call the WSLCB's toll-free tip line at 1-888-838-3956 to report illegal activity in liquor licensed establishments across Washington.
